Welcome to Kahmir Collections. I’m Kamara, the Founder and CEO. I’m so excited you are here and even more excited to share Kahmir with you! My journey to starting a luxury hair line has been in the process for over 10 years, every experience leading to the formation of Kahmir Collections. I first introduced myself to the frustrations of up keeping my natural hair during my tenure in college. After traveling home every weekend to see my hairstylist, I eventually decided to get a sew-in. The convenience of having a style for 2-3 months was a selling point and thus the beginning of my interest in hair extensions. After a successful 4 years of college, heat on my hair and a few bad sew-ins, I returned home with the intention of getting my long, curly hair back to its natural state. I dedicated my time to researching the ins-and- outs of hair extensions, experimented with different hair brands and came to a few conclusions: The hairstylist, the quality of hair extensions and the thread you use can greatly impact your natural hair. I learned that the overall maintenance of the hair you use for an install has a large impact on your natural hair. I took these concepts, applied them and started the process of creating a company that redefines the way we buy hair. Fast Forward to 2018, I founded Kahmir Collections. I took the middle man out of the process, and I’m bringing you luxury hair directly from the origin. My mission is to create a brand that gives you a transparent experience with exclusive, quality hair from the source. As women, we deserve hair that is beautiful, healthy and natural!
